Charles Peter is a solicitor and legal entrepreneur with over four decades of experience in practice in England and Wales. He is the Managing Director of Berkson Family Law, a leading specialist firm in public children law, and Chief Executive of Datalaw, a long-established provider of legal education and professional training.

Over the course of his career, Charles has developed extensive expertise across criminal and family law, with a particular focus on publicly funded work. He is widely recognised for his deep understanding of the challenges facing high street legal practice, especially within the legal aid sector, and for his enduring commitment to access to justice.

Alongside his practice, Charles has made a significant contribution to the professional development of solicitors across England and Wales. Through his leadership of Datalaw, he has been instrumental in delivering high-quality training at scale and in advancing innovative approaches to legal education.
