Manchester Law School is an award-winning leading university law school, recognised in the UK and internationally for its focus on social change and sustainability through law.
We integrate digitally-engaged legal education, practitioner expertise, and high-quality research in the key areas of Rights, Inequalities & Justice, Sports Law & Creative Cultures and Regulation & Sustainability.
The School has strong relationships across the Northern Circuit and with leading law firms. We work closely with organisations including the CPS, Support Through Court, Independent Football Ombudsman, Amnesty International, DEFRA and the Greater Manchester Law Centre. These relationships support an extensive pro bono network, mentoring and networking opportunities for our students and impact for our research. We have an outstanding track-record in mooting and advocacy training.
We offer LLB, GDL, LLM (SQE), BTC, LLM and PhD programmes. We currently have around 2000 Manchester-based students, with a further 600 studying GDL and LLB programmes, through our 35 year partnership with HKU Space, the University of Hong Kong. Our academic and professional programmes are characterised by innovation, research and a practice-engaged understanding of the legal and professional services landscape, with a strong digital and legal tech focus.
We hold a key position within the North-West and are deeply connected within Manchester’s legal and professional services sector producing highly employable graduates in a range of roles.
